Evaluation of new materials for MEMS
In the area of new
materials for MEMS, projects are focused on the static and dynamic
characterization of polymer materials for use in MEMS devices. Experiments are conducted to determine the mechanical properties of thin polymer layers on micron scale, like Young's modulus and stress and those properties that may affect the reliability of
devices, such as fatigue, ultimate strength, and creep.
